Student Accident Insurance

The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board encourages parents to take advantage of the inexpensive insurance coverage, especially if their child(ren) participate(s) in sports, excursion/field trips, or, if parents do not have dental insurance coverage. Important Office Reminders

Reporting Absences:  If your child is going to be absent you must report it to the school each day that your child is away, and before 8:30a.m.

Absences and late arrivals are reported via School Messenger.

  1. Phone: 1-844-435-3440
  2. Online: go.schoolmessenger.ca
  3. Mobile App: School Messenger

Parents are also reminded that supervision at the school begins at 8:15 a.m., so students should NOT be dropped off at the office or in the school yard before this time. Students must be picke up at dismissal 3:00 p.m.

Custody of Children: We are best able to serve and protect students when we are made aware of legal custody arrangements, visitation rights and other special instructions. If legal custody matters affect your family, please ensure that our office staff and classroom teachers are aware of any custodial arrangements that may affect your child during school hours.

Storage and Administration of Medication: Parents are responsible for ensuring that all medication and forms are updated annually for any student who requires medication, to be administered at school. If your child requires medication please have the necessary forms completed and return them, along with any medication, to the office as soon as possible.

Please be reminded that children are not allowed to keep any medication in their desk, backpack or classroom (with the exception of an epi-pen or inhaler in the case of severe allergies).  All dispensing of medication requires medical permission and medication must be stored in the office.

We are an Allergen Aware School

There are pupils in attendance who suffer from severe and life-threatening allergies to certain foods, such as peanut and nut products and/or milk products.  Exposure to the smallest quantities can cause severe life-threatening reactions. Many children with this type of allergy are impacted by trace amounts which can be transferred by contact with hands or through the air.  Although your child's class may not be affected directly, we require your continued cooperation in ensuring our environment is safe for all.

Lunches and Snacks

Please check all labels to know whether there are any hidden nut products in food or peanut oil.  Please consider some of the following nut free snacks when sending food to school:  fruits, vegetables, products made by  Kellogg ™, Peek Freen ™, Christie ™ Nestle ™ , Kraft ™, to name a few.

Celebrations & Birthdays

Further to this, as part of "Sabrina's Law," we are no longer permitted to allow treats for sharing with other students. Food items sent to school will be returned.
